1. The quotation may be accepted up to 30 days from the date of issue after which Arundel Alarms reserves the right
to review the quotation prices.
2. Payment is due in full on completion of the work unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed beforehand.
Arundel Alarms reserves the right to levy a reasonable administration charge for late payment.
A deposit may be required for certain installations.
Please be aware that under the terms of late payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 amended by EU directive 2000/35/EC we are entitled to levy interest and/or late payment compensation on overdue debts.
3. Arundel Alarms will install the system in accordance with the specification and to the current European Standard PD6662 / EN50131.
4. The customer must allow access to the premises during normal working hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday as the quotation is based on this access being available.
If work is required outside these hours Arundel Alarms reserves the right to make a reasonable additional charge.
5. The customer shall report to Arundel Alarms any change
made to the premises since the survey which may affect
the installation or function of the system as this may
require alteration to the specification or quotation.
6. In the event of termination of the agreement after installation has commenced, the customer agrees to pay all reasonable costs incurred by Arundel Alarms to the date termination is received by the company
and to pay all reasonable costs incurred in
removing equipment which has been fixed.
7. On receipt of full payment the equipment becomes the absolute property of the customer.
8. In the event of carpet being lifted during the installation Arundel Alarms will refit and re-stretch it to the nail strip, and will employ a professional carpet fitter to attend if the customer is not happy with the re-laying. If equipment is to be fixed to tiles, we cannot accept liability for damage caused by drilling or fixing to them.
9. Arundel Alarms will replace or repair any defects in materials, components or equipment which become apparent within 12 months from the date of installation, except in the following cases:
a) All installations are covered with a standard 12 months guarantee for parts and labour. Guarantee claims will only be considered valid on the event that the equipment has failed as a result of defective material, incorrect installation or poor workmanship. The company will not accept failures due to fair wear and tear, operator’s error/abuse or any acts of nature. Furthermore, the equipment will cease to be covered under any extended guarantee period, should the owner fail to allow the equipment to be maintained in accordance with the agreement.
b) The company will not accept guarantee claims for consumables such as reconditioned hydraulic rams/openers, bulbs, keys, fuses and batteries. These components are subject to a 3-month warranty unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer. On each occasion, guarantee claims will only be considered valid on the event that the equipment has failed as a result of defective material, incorrect installation or poor workmanship. The company will not accept failures due to fair wear and tear, operator’s error/abuse or any acts of nature.
10. Arundel Alarms reserves the right to sub-contract the work of installation, repair and replacement or any part thereof, but only with prior consent of the customer.
11. If any of the installed equipment is loaned or rented to the customer, it is a condition that the customer shall insure the equipment against theft, loss or damage.
12. It is a company policy that audible alarms shall be fitted with a 10-minute cut-off device in order to limit noise pollution unless written agreement to the contrary exists.
13. Industrial, commercial and institutional premises having a remote signalling facility will incorporate a 10-minute bell delay to conform to the requirements of police policy.
